Operation Arrowhead | British Armed Forces | Private Military Company | Army of the Czech RepublicĬZ 805 BREN A1 5.So I'm a very active mission maker for my group and one of the areas I like to focus on is immersion. However, it is not available in any of the supply crates by default and can only be equipped via scripting commands or adding it to a crate with a custom addon. CorePatch also added an unused version that does not occupy the user's backpack slot (Classname: M60A4_EP1_Small).However, due to sharing magazines with the M240 and L7A2, its muzzle velocity was sharply reduced from 900 m/s to only 834 m/s.Prior to the latest CorePatch updates, the M60E4 was restricted to a maximum zeroing of only 800 metres. The M60E4 was initially only available to desert-camouflaged Czech SOF units on Operation Arrowhead's release. ![]() This oversight has not been corrected even after the release of the latest Steam version patches. Despite being clearly modelled onto it, the M60E4 is not configured to have the user hold the weapon via the forward grip. The fourth round fired will always be a visible red tracer, while the last four rounds are consistently tracers. ![]() It requires two free inventory slots to carry:ġ00-round linked belt stored in a clothed box. The M60E4 is limited to feeding from only one type of "magazine". By default, it is set to utilise a zeroing of 100 metres. In the case of the latter, both the American M240 and British L7A2 MMGs have fire rates exceeding 800 rounds per minute, whereas the M60E4 is far slower and caps out at roughly ~ 697 rounds per minute instead. The former makes it difficult to wield in close quarters as the weight of the M60E4 drastically reduces the user's dexterity (the UK-59 isn't as strongly affected as much as the M60E4). The M60E4's two main downsides are its bulky size and weight as well as its low rate of fire. Though it lacks optics, the M60E4 is more than capable of suppressing and striking enemies at distances of up to 900 metres. ![]() Like the UK-59, the M60E4's 7.62 mm ammunition has superb stopping power and can incapacitate or outright kill most infantry targets in one hit. ![]() Primarily wielded by operatives of the 601st SFG, the M60E4 serves as an alternate counterpart to the Czech Army's UK-59. It has a maximum zeroing range of up to 1,100 metres. The M60E4 has an integrated (non-functional) bipod but otherwise cannot be fitted optical sights, muzzle attachments or side rail accessories. It loads from the same 100-round belts boxes used by the M240, and is able to attain a fire rate of up to 698 rounds per minute with a muzzle velocity of 834 m/s. The M60E4 is a gas operated, belt-fed medium machine gun operating with a short-stroke gas piston that is chambered to fire the 7.62×51 mm NATO round. This is a premium asset that requires ownership of the Operation Arrowhead expansion pack. ![]() ![]() Funnygames is a large online game developer, they have been around for years and have released a lot of great games. Jessica Cherry: This app is great for group text but not for voice conferences. Since this article was originally published, Signal has gained group video chat capabilities, and the desktop client has gained video and audio chat buttons.Ĭhris Hermansen: I'll continue to use Signal for person-to-person when I have the choice. Easy audio and video input switching managed by the operating system. The text chat is full of all the usual features in a modern mobile chat app (e.g., text, emoji, and so on). It's face-to-face chat, and everything you'd expect from a "normal" phone call is what you have available in Signal, with the addition of video. There was no user management during the video chat because, as a one-to-one conversation, there's no sense of a moderator. All input and output are managed by your device, so if you switch your microphone from the phone receiver to a Bluetooth headset, Signal follows along. The video-chat function offers just the basics: a screen with your image as the inset. Because Signal uses your mobile phone number as your identifier, it's easy to invite contacts who are already in your social circle. The process is smooth and direct you can switch from a text chat to a video chat quickly and easily. However, Seth and Chris have used it before with great success. Signal wasn't a group-chat solution when we originally wrote this article, so we were unable to test it as a group. Free online course: RHEL technical overview. It's gotten many new features lately, but when we tested it, it was primarily designed for mobile, and its desktop client was limited to text chat only. It is designed for privacy and provides end-to-end encryption, and it is completely open source. Signal is an ideal replacement for personal chat applications in features, function, and security. It's a plus that it's available for deployment in a private or personal server, if the user chooses. It's worth noting that some features are only available with the desktop version of the software.Īlan Formy-Duval: Simple to log in and get underway. I don't like that password control is based on the first person in. Jessica Cherry: This one works well and does have several options that are amazing, like screengrab, kicking people from the call, muting, and password control, plus a phone app for your less technical friends. ![]()
![]() ![]() It’s usually just common sense stuff, and it was never too taxing to move the few objects I’d placed incorrectly. This might be because you’ve left a pile of books on the floor, or a printer in a room other than the office. There’s plenty of opportunity to position possessions however you want, but if they’re somewhere entirely incorrect then once all the boxes are empty they’ll flash red and need repositioning. There is exactly one thing that can stop you from completing a stage, and that’s if you don’t place your items correctly. At the end of each stage the house you’ve now filled with possessions feels like a home, ready for your protagonist to enjoy life there. Finding the perfect spot for an item brings a level of satisfaction I just wasn’t prepared for, and emptying a box and poofing it away carries with it such a feeling of accomplishment. The idea that Aussie developers Witch Beam decided that a game about taking items out of boxes and arranging them would be enjoyable is utterly ridiculous, but they were bang on the money. When arranging DVDs and video games I actually spotted movies and Gamecube games I recognised solely from the box art. From stuffed toys to sanitary pads, everything is flawlessly realised in this lo-fi art style. Without any way of knowing what’s coming next, you’ll be greeted by all manner of perfectly crafted pixel art items as you go. When you open a moving box all you see is the packing material on top, and every time you click on it you’ll be given a surprise item. Maybe you want a feature shelf for all your fancy figurines, or perhaps they’d be better off in a cupboard so you have more room for books. Each room you move into has storage to explore, with plenty of options of where to house your prized possessions. There’s no twitch reactions or in-depth mechanics to worry about here, all you need to do is move items out of cardboard moving boxes and put them in your new beautiful pixel art house. Unpacking is one of the simplest games I’ve played in quite a while. Instead of spending my time dealing with this clutter though, I’ve been Unpacking in video game form. Although the stress is somewhat less intense at this stage, I must admit that downstairs is fairly stacked with boxes full of our possessions yet to emerge. After dealing with the pure hell that was our own real life relocation last month, I reviewed the frantic party game Get Packed. I’m not sure if it’s just a bizarre coincidence or punishment from our editor-in-chief, but I just can’t seem to stop playing games about moving house. ![]() You can work around the systems permission problem by installing Bundler with a command that uses your home directory for gems. If you were to use sudo to install gems with the system Ruby, you'd end up with a mess of incompatible gems in the system Ruby directory. Or maybe two different gems in your project rely on different versions of a dependent gem.īundler uses a Gemfile in your project directory to keep track of the gems you need. Imagine you've got projects that use different versions of a gem (maybe there was a new gem release between your projects). Gem managementĮxperienced developers use Bundler to install gems and manage their dependencies. Even worse, a gem might contain malicious code that tampers with your computer. Don't do it! You may leave the system in a broken or compromised state. In this case, you need sudo because you're altering system files that are managed by the OS. But don't do this! $ sudo gem install railsĪny time you are about to run sudo, you should stop and ask if you're about to shoot yourself in the foot. You can install gems as a superuser to override the permissions restriction. Unix-based systems are powerful, so there's a workaround. You don't have write permissions for the /Library/Ruby/Gems/2.6.0 directory If you try to install a gem, for example gem install rails, you'll get a permissions error: ERROR: While executing gem. Ordinary users are not allowed to write to it (and you really shouldn't alter this folder). That directory is owned by root, the system superuser. If you use the Mac system Ruby, running gem install will try to save gems to the system Ruby directory /Library/Ruby/Gems/2.6.0. Most Ruby projects use at least a few gems.
